This week I read the third chapter of Abraham. In this chapter the Lord shows Abraham just about everything He could. He explains to him the choosing of Christ, our eternal nature as spirits, the Creation, and basically all the works of His hands.
I liked this chapter because it shows me how great our God is. He is infinite in power and has created millions of worlds like ours. Knowing that there are millions of other worlds like ours with spirit children of God living on them, it is humbling to know we live on the only world that Christ came to. I feel because of that we are able to have a much more real experience and knowledge of the Atonement. We know that there was a man named Christ that lived on earth, the only thing now is to believe that He was really the Son of God on Earth. I don't know for sure, but I feel like other worlds learn that Christ came to another world and suffered for them, so they have to accept both of those truths! In that sense I guess we are lucky right!?
It also says something about the world we live in, though. We live in a wicked world that was so wicked that they would kill the Son of God. We must recognize the fallen state of our world and strive to be valiant and stay aloof from any wickedness that the world tries to entice us with!
I am grateful for the Savior that came to THIS Earth for me and you!
